He then began to impersonate a member of staff giving out handfuls of Euros and other currencies in exchange for sterling to customers.
But before finishing his ‘shift’, the crook gained access to the safe for the Bureau de Change and emptied it into a bag then walked out of the store. It is understood that the sum taken was close to £40,000.

A spokesman for GMP said that a 22-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud. She has been bailed until next month. However the hunt continues for the mystery man – and the money.
An investigation was launched after police were called at 3.45pm on July 29 after store bosses reported the theft.
Asda say they were assisting police with enquiries.
