Grounded, gripping, compulsive new play.
Supported by Arts Council England, Grounded will be staged at Sheffield Theatres on Wednesday, 21 January 2015. This gripping, compulsive new play that flies from the heights of lyricism to the shallows of workaday existence will run until Saturday, 24 January 2015.
Grounded is the story of a pregnant hot-rod F16 fighter pilot whose career in the sky is over. Her present job is to sit in an air-conditioned trailer in Las Vegas where she flies remote-controlled drones over the Middle East. She must struggles through surreal 12-hour shifts far from the battlefield where she must hunt down terrorists by day and be a wife and mother by night.
This play is about war, family and what it is to be a woman.
You can see Grounded at between £13.00 and £15.00. Bookings can be made online as well as the Box Office. Online bookings attract a £1.00 transaction fee while the Box Office attracts a transaction fee of £1.50.
