Detectives are trying to identify a suspected mugger after a ‘selfie’ was automatically sent from the victim’s stolen phone
The mystery man police are trying to trace
A 25-year-old woman was attacked from behind, pushed to the floor and robbed at Leyton in east London.
But the woman’s mobile was fitted with an anti-theft app.
Attempts later in the day to unlock the phone with the wrong password triggered its camera.
The selfie photograph of a bearded man was then automatically emailed to the victim.
Police say they are ‘keen to speak’ to the man in the picture in connection the robbery.
